If you’re a Part Time Vagabond, there’s no doubt you have a list of places you want to see before you die. I know I do. Of course, the new year has me reflecting on the places I’ve been, the places I’d like to revisit, and the places I’d like to see for the first time.
Our time on this planet is fleeting; we have to make the most of it. To me, travel is important, even essential, to being a good human being, an upstanding member of the world. We need to know about other cultures and lifestyles. This year, I’m assigning a theme to my life, and playing the 3-word game (now, if you’d signed up for the PTV newsletter, you’d know what I’m talking about). My three words are focus, discipline, and debt; my theme is goals.
Part of setting goals is defining parameters. One of the parameters for travel is obviously figuring out where you want to go. I work in lists, so here’s my travel wishlist. No, I won’t hit all of them in 2013, but whether camping, RVing, or canoeing, sleeping in a posh hotel or under a tent , I’m encouraged by my desire to see so many amazing places.
