My Travel Wishlist

As Part Time Vagabonds, I think we all have that bucket list of the top places we dream of visiting, simmering in the back of our minds. These are the places that we stare out the window dreaming about; the places we spend countless hours surfing the Internet planning our dream vacations; the spots we imagine ourselves standing in, having the glory wash over us.

It’s a beautiful thought, and it’s a beautiful idea to keep in our minds. The travel wishlist gives us goals to hit, and with a little focus, we can really accomplish the whole list. So, here’s mine, which I’ll update as the days go by and the ideas pop into my head.

  • Camp in every U.S. State for at least one night
  • Camp in every Canadian territory
  • Dune buggy in the Mongolian desert
  • See the pyramids at Giza
  • Visit all the retired Space Shuttles
  • Participate in a photo expedition to Nepal and/or Tibet
  • Drive cross country without using Interstate highways
  • Road Trip the UK
  • Road Trip Italy
  • Visit my familial roots in Italy
  • Travel around Japan
  • Spend a month in a cabin in Montana, fishing and hiking
  • travel to, hike, fly fish, and drink in Ireland
  • Take a round-the-world journey
  • Road trip Rt. 66 end to end
  • Tour Europe for a month
  • Tour the U.S. for a month
  • Hike the John Muir Trail
  • Hike the AT
  • See and touch a Redwood tree
  • Stay overnight in a real English castle
  • Hike Mt. Katahdin
  • Attend The Masters
  • Hold a photo shoot with a celebrity
  • Fly fish and backpack Patagonia
  • Fly fish and backpack New Zealand
  • Live in England for a summer
  • Live in Groningen for a summer
  • Take all the cross-country U.S. Amtrak rail trips
